In this case study, we evaluate driver response time in a rear-end collision involving a stopped/ slow moving vehicle on a highway, utilizing the Looming (Subtended Angular Velocity) analysis features in Response®.
Pedestrian Walking Speed featured image
In this case study, we examine a crash that occurred at a midblock location where a pedestrian entered the roadway and was struck by an approaching vehicle. Based on the investigation, the distance from the road edge to the area of impact was 22 ft. No videos were captured of the incident. The pedestrian was 33 years old male, weighed 184lbs and 6’4” tall.
Perception-Response Time featured image
In this case study, we evaluate driver response time in a vehicle path intrusion crash. A motorcyclist was traveling northbound at 35 mph through a green traffic light when a vehicle that had been stopped at a red light entered the motorcycle’s path, violating the signal.
Acceleration featured image
n this case study, we examine a crash that occurred at an intersection where a vehicle accelerated from a side road across the travel lanes of a main roadway. Vehicles on the main road had the right-of-way, while the side road vehicle was governed by a stop sign.

In this case study, we examine a nighttime crash that occurred at a non-intersection location, where a pedestrian entered the roadway and was struck by a three-year-old SUV.
